JOB DESCRIPTION RESEARCH ANALYST
Analyst - 18 months to 3 years
Sr. Analyst - 3 Years - 7 Years
Must have minimum of 12 to 18 months experience in market Research/report writing/business intelligence
Fair understanding of the global markets for specific industries viz. healthcare, pharma, IT, material science, security, food & beverage or biotechnology
The role involves performing market research – secondary and primary research, competitive analysis, industry and company profiling market sizing, forecasting and identifying best practices within a specific industry segment. This information should be compiled into a market research report which will help businesses take informed decisions on their strategic objectives.
The Research Analyst will be expected execute each project individually within the prescribed time frame, and to the expected standards of BCC Research
DESIRED SKILLS IN THE CANDIDATE:
Should have authored full market research reports end to end or have been involved in authoring every section of a market research report and hence be able to author complete market research reports on an assigned industry segment within the allotted time frame.
Should have experience in secondary research skills including but not limited to advanced internet search using different search engines, ability to identify correct sources of information, read and understand financial data of companies based on their annual reports & statutory filings.
Should have prior experience in performing primary research through both in person interviews and telephonic interviews with mid to senior level executives in the respective industry segments
Should be able to independently identify and assess change markers for specific industry segments and utilize the same while conducting research and writing the report.
Should be able to analyze macro-economic data including but not limited to country statistics, demographics, GDP and other economic indicators
Should have good understanding of market sizing and forecasting techniques utilizing market and technology indicators by assigning weights to each.
Use of open source as well as proprietary databases like Factiva, OneSource, ThomsonReuters, patent databases among others to identify and collect company and industry related information which will form the basis of a strong market research report is essential
Assist the Senior Research Analyst and Research Manager in custom research project as and when commissioned.
